Commission orchestrations...
Many of the orchestrations you read about on this site have been commissioned. From the very big (BBC Concert Orchestra; A Richard Rodgers Centenary Overture) to the mid-scale (Chicester Festival; Out of this World, Carl Rosa Opera Company; The Merry Widow and EC1 International; The Magnificent Musicals starring Ruthie Henshall) to the small (Andrew Halliday; 6 piece arrangements for the QE2 cruise ship).
Richard has provided orchestrations for the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra; for artists including Lesley Garrett, Willard White, Will Young and Michael Ball and for projects including Christmas at the Musicals (Barbican), Fred Astaire: His Daughter’s Tribute (London Palladium), Music of the night (UK and Sweden), A Kind of Magic (Estonia and Finland), Can you feel the love tonight and Something Wonderful (UK tour). His arrangements can be heard on Michael Ball’s recent album This time it’s personal, Fred Astaire: His Daughter’s Tribute, John Cashmore’s You are, London City Opera’s Love Unspoken, Short Stories (Mario Frangoulis and Deborah Myers) and The London Cello Sound.
You can have arrangements and orchestrations specifically tailored to your needs. At very competitive rates you can have the following:
- songs transposed
- rehearsal piano parts made up
- the most basic arrangements (piano, bass and drums) up through any combination you choose to full orchestra
- complete show or opera orchestrations for reduced forces
Just contact us through the usual channels with your requests and we will be happy to quote you a price.
